Roller Skating

Let me admit this: I've never been rollerskating before the month of December. The first time I did go rollerskating was in Plano. Well, we went for about 2 hours and I spent about 3/4 of the time holding on to the side, and 1/8 of the time falling down. :-)  But I eventually did get it.

The second time I went rollerskating was at a place called Interskate. I hadn't done it for about a week, so I had a little bit of trouble, but I spent about 98.8% of the time having fun.

The third time I went skating, I went rollerskating for about 9/10 of the time. Then my mom convinced me to try inline skates (for those of you who don't know what an inline skate is, it is a skate with the four wheels lined up in a 'line'). So I tried it and I liked it! Anyway, have a good new year. Bye.

Saying the alphabet backwards is so easy...

...That a caveman could do it! Really. If you would like to learn how I learned to say it backwards, read ahead.

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
zyxwvutsrqponmlkjihgfedcba

First, look at this for any words that stick out. For instance:

zyxwvutsrqponmlkjihgfedcba

  1. Vut is German for 'what'
  2. pon is like the word 'pun'
  3. mlk could be 'milk' or Martin Luthor King
  4. jihg could be 'jig'
  5. fed is kind of obvious

So now you have: 'What pun milk jig fed' or 'What pun Martin Luthor King jig fed'.

Now, all you have to do is start at the end of the alphabet and go backwards. When you run into a sequence of letters you don't know, you think of the next word. For example:

zyxw... "Oh yeah, vut".

srq... "Oh yeah, pon".

Anyway, if you keep on saying it backwards, you should get it stuck in your head, and that's a good thing. Good luck!

Do Not Open

Hi! I found this really cool book that's called Do Not Open. In a nutshell, it has a bunch of really cool secrets like UFOs, the Men-in-Black, Air Force 1, etc. They also have a section about ingredients in a 'naturaly flavored' strawberry milkshake. It had a bunch of horrid ingredients, so I thought that I would take a couple and fill you in on them. Happy reading!

  • Vanillin - WARNING! May be harmful if swallowed, inhaled, or absorbed...
  • Phenethyl Alcohol - Health Rating = 2 - Moderate (Poison).

  • Rum Ether - also a cigarette additive (cigarettes? Yum!!!).

  • Solvent - can result in damaged nervous and reproductive systems, including that of the liver, kidneys, and also can cause cancer (Who wants that? I don't).

  • Ethyl Nitrate - Health Hazardous rating of 3 out of 4.

  • High Fructose Corn Syrup - did you know that HFCS may actually contain trace amounts of the toxic element mercury? Neither did I.

  • Carrageenan - may lead to immflamatory bowel disease... (and this is the 10th ingredient. :) ).
  • and absolutely, positively NO ACTUAL STRAWBERRIES!!!!! :(

and the list goes on. It took my dad (who is a good reader) about five minutes to finish it. Anyway, think before you drink.

School's out forever.....

...or not, but anyway, this is the FIRST WEEK OF SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, the season where kids lounge around and play computer games and sleep in and do nothing and.... you get the point.

Anyway, a while back I had a asdfadfasfadfsfsafspost about the semester exams. Well we had the FINAL EXAMS on..........

THE LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!?!? :(

Anyway, the time has passed and so have I (ha, ha ,ha). So now I'm going to kick back and relax and sleep in (except on Sunday, I have to set up chairs @ 8:30) and program the computer and maybe go to the pool and eat pizza and stay up late and watch all the shows I would have seen on TV except that during the school year my bedtime was like maybe 8:00 and have star parties with my scout troop and drink soda and do stuff that I couldn't do during the school year and complain about how boring my summer is and find that school has already started and wish that summer was back and..............................................................................................................................................

You get the point.

Return of the Gators

On my last blog, I told about how The Griffin Gators went to Sandy Lake Amusement Park. We all did a great job. But on May 11th , the Gators did it again. This time at Wakeland Highschool, we perfomed TEMPEST, LABYRINTH, and OLD TIME ROCK AND ROLL!! At Griffin we also have a Jazz band (they play well.... jazz), a concert band, and a symphonic band. The music was great and at the end, we had a special presentation (with the concert and symphonic band) of POKEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was pretty cool, and the best part was that the band directors awarded me the honors of being........................
