Return of the Gators

On my last blog, I told about how The Griffin Gators went to Sandy Lake Amusement Park. We all did a great job. But on May 11th , the Gators did it again. This time at Wakeland Highschool, we perfomed TEMPEST, LABYRINTH, and OLD TIME ROCK AND ROLL!! At Griffin we also have a Jazz band (they play well.... jazz), a concert band, and a symphonic band. The music was great and at the end, we had a special presentation (with the concert and symphonic band) of POKEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was pretty cool, and the best part was that the band directors awarded me the honors of being........................

The Semester Exams

"Oh, you'd better not cry, you'd better not pout, you'd better study 'till your eyes fall out, the Semester Exams are coming, to school."

-excerpt from "The Semester Exams are Coming to School" (to the tune of "Santa Clause is coming to Town")

The semester exams have come and gone. It's been about four or five weeks since we had them so sorry about the holdup. We had one in each of our classes:

  • Science
  • Computer
  • Quest (don't ask me what Quest is)
  • PE (yeah, I mean it)
  • ILA (a combo of reading and writing)
  • Trombone
  • Social Studies
  • Math

So off the subject of school, I was thinking about posting lessons in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, the whole nine yards on my blog. If you want to make any suggestions, let me know. Thanks.

A really cool thing with JavaScript

If you've read most of my blogs, you'll know that I really like science. That also includes computers. I read a book about HTML, and I LOVE IT! It had a section on JavaScript, and I decided to try something. Click on the button below to see it.

P.S. If it isn't working, your browser is blocking it. Don't worry, it's safe.

I survived the first six weeks of school!

As I said in my last post, I've moved on to Middle School. Here are some things that you might call interesting:

  • My teachers in the order of the times I visit them are: Mrs. Easton, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Yates, Coach Wollitz (lady), Mrs. Labar, Mr. Timpani/Mr. Bruce, Mr. (Coach) Whitehead, Mrs. Norris
  • In PE, I helped out the special needs kids, which meant I didn't have to take the PE test.
  • My grades are in the 90's!
  • etc., etc., etc.

Well that's all for now.

Middle School 101

Well, as you know (or may not know), August 24th was the first day of school. Usually, I would complain, but Middle School is a slight exception. Here are some of the main reasons.

  • Lockers: They're easier than they seem. And there cool.
  • The excitement of running from class to class
  • Trombone: They have a trip to Hurricane Harbor in June
  • Lunch with all my friends
  • etc., etc., etc......

.... and we make up for no recess with gym EVERY DAY OF THE SCHOOL WEEK! I think this will be a good year.
